We are not simply facing disruption; we are living through a structural transition. The legacy systems that once anchored governance, justice, information integrity, and public purpose are no longer functioning as they should, and their legitimacy is eroding. As institutions retreat into risk containment, the vacuum is being filled by disinformation, automated surveillance, weakened accountability, and a fast-expanding ecosystem of online harms.
At the same time, emerging technologies are creating both new opportunities and new threats. In the absence of stronger governance and public-interest safeguards, powerful commercial incentives are accelerating harmful dynamics rather than containing them. This includes the spread of manipulation, online radicalization, extremist amplification, and other forms of networked harm at scale.
My Mission
